Help us serve our community
and keep all of our neighbors healthy.
An IMPORTANT note on card processing fees:
RAHC partners with Blackbaud to cover ALL card processing fees.
After submitting a donation amount and billing information, donors have an option to help cover processing fees.
Although the form defaults to 10%, donors may choose a different amount or nothing at all.
Other Giving Options
Outright gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, and/or mutual funds provide substantial tax advantages to donors. When these appreciated assets are given directly to the Rockbridge Area Health Center, donors are free of capital gains tax. Donors may also claim a tax deduction equal to the securities’ fair market value on the date of delivery. Consult your financial advisor to determine if making a stock donation is right for you.
Planned gifts can offer significant estate tax and income benefits while also allowing donors to make more significant gifts to the Rockbridge Area Health Center.
QUALIFIED CHARITABLE GIVING
Qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) allow individuals who are at least age 70.5 years old and have Traditional and/or Inherited IRAs to distribute up to $100,000 per year directly from their IRA to the Rockbridge Area Health Center with no federal income tax consequences.
NEIGHBORHOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) allows businesses, trusts, and individuals to donate to the Rockbridge Area Health Center to benefit those with low incomes. In return for your contributions, you may receive tax credits equal to 65% of the donation that may be applied against your Virginia income tax liability. To learn more or if you have any questions, please call 540.464.8700 ext 7163.
EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFTS
Double your donation with a corporate matching gift! Many employers match their employee’s donations to nonprofit organizations. Consult your company’s Human Resources department to see if your employer has a gift matching program.
