Dr. Kathleen Lamontagne, DMD moved from New Hampshire to join the Rockbridge Area Health Center as a family dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine.
The year after finishing undergraduate school, Dr. Lamontagne served as a dental assistant on a mission trip to Honduras, where she witnessed the great need for dental care. That same year, she was a full-time volunteer on an organic farm that fed an entire community and it was through that experience she realized the great need for healthcare and health education in underserved areas of our own country.
As a fourth-generation dentist, Dr. Lamontagne is proud to continue her family’s tradition of practicing dentistry. She grew up spending time in the dental office observing and assisting her father and grandfather. They modeled for her how to treat each patient with compassion and respect, and she strives to emulate that when interacting with patients.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring the beautiful state of Virginia and staying active outdoors, which includes hiking, trail running and fishing.
