Bethany Elza
Dr. Bethany Elza is a primary care physician providing care to patients of all ages. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Appalachian State University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition to providing primary care services, Dr. Elza uses a treatment known as Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) – a set of hands-on techniques to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
As a physician, Dr. Elza treats the ‘whole person’ with an understanding of how the body’s systems are interconnected and how each one affects the others. Practicing at RAHC also gives her the opportunity to treat the ‘whole family.’
Growing up in rural North Carolina, Dr. Elza witnessed firsthand the struggles of many families living in rural areas with the lack of access to healthcare, which motivated her to pursue her lifelong desire to be a physician.
Referring to the Rockbridge area as the most beautiful place in the country where she has always wanted to live, Dr. Elza and her family enjoy staying active, including kayaking, running, and anything outdoors.
