Percita Ellis

MD, FAAP

Dr. Percita Ellis, MD is a board-certified pediatric physician, providing medical care to children of all ages.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University, a Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University of Medicine, completed an adult and child/adolescent psychiatry residency at University of Florida College of Medicine, and a pediatric residency at Texas Tech in El Paso, which included an additional year as the pediatric chief resident. Dr. Ellis has also served as a captain in the US Army Reserves.

She is a member of the American Pediatric Association and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics where she participates in many programs that seek to optimize physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Throughout her pediatric career, Dr. Ellis finds it rewarding to follow her patients from birth through young adulthood and assist with obstacles that they may encounter throughout the various stages of development.

In her free time, Dr. Ellis is passionate about photography and especially looks forward to the winters months so she can photograph beautiful snowy days in Lexington each year.
