SUMMARY:Youth Wellness Exams in Fairfield
DESCRIPTION:The Rockbridge Area Health Center will offer youth wellness exams\, immunizations\, camp\, and sports physical exams at Fairfield Elementary School on July 27 from 1 pm – 4 pm. \nYouth exams may include: \n• Annual wellness exams\n• Physical exams and vaccination clinics for students entering kindergarten in the fall\n• Required physical exams for youth camps\n• Required immunizations for 6th and 7th graders and rising seniors\n– Tdap (Tetanus\, diphtheria\, and pertussis vaccine)\, HPV\, and the first dose of meningococcal vaccines to 6th and 7th graders\n– Rising seniors will receive their 2nd dose of the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine.\n• Pre-participation physical examinations for middle and high school students planning to participate in athletics in the 2023-24 school year. Our providers will review your child’s medical history\, conduct an exam and recommend additional tests and diagnosis if necessary. RAHC providers will fill in the required physical examination form from the Virginia High School League for the athlete. Students who have been examined once from May 1 of the current year through June 30 of the succeeding year (14 months) do not have to be examined again during that period unless they have had a serious injury or illness.\n• Updated COVID-19 Immunizations \nAppointments are required for all scheduled clinics.\nMinors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.\nTo schedule an appointment with our mobile medical unit\, call (540) 464-8700 ext. 7110. \nClick here to view all upcoming mobile medical and dental clinics.

DESCRIPTION:Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) and local schools are collaborating to provide physical exam and vaccination clinics for students entering kindergarten in the fall. \nPhysical exams including vitals\, hearing and vision screening\, provider exams\, and required vaccinations will be provided during the scheduled clinics. \nThe Pfizer 5 – 11-year-old COVID vaccine will also be available onsite for interested parents. \nPre-registration is required and parents or guardians must accompany their students during the visit. \nAdditional clinics will be held around Rockbridge County throughout the summer on the following dates and times: \n\nJune 22 – Rockbridge Area Health Center\, 8:20 am – 6:30 pm\nJune 30 – Central Elementary School\, 9:20 am – 2:30 pm\nJuly 21 – Rockbridge Area Health Center\, 8:20 am – 6:30 pm\nJuly 28 – Mountain View Elementary School\, 9:20 am – 2:30 pm\nAugust 4 – Fairfield Elementary School\, 9:20 am – 2:30 pm\nAugust 11 – Natural Bridge Elementary School\, 9:20 am – 2:30 pm\n\nCall (540) 464-8700 ext. 7201 to register or ask questions.
