Laura Becker

IBCLC

Laura Becker is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and Perinatal Health Hub Program Manager, providing care to patients who are planning a family, expecting a child, or in the postpartum period.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Maternal Health and Human Lactation from Union Institute and University, based in Cincinnati, OH, and completed her internship and clinical hours in the postpartum unit at Fort Carson’s Army Community Hospital in Colorado.

Prior to her studies at Union, Laura served 3 years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

Laura’s passion for prenatal and postpartum care is deeply personal. After facing her own challenges following childbirth and struggling to support a close friend through postpartum difficulties, she made it her mission to understand the root causes of these struggles and find ways to help. That drive led her to build a career dedicated to supporting mothers and families.

Laura has always been passionate about mothers and has worked with them in 49 cities across 32 states.

She considers a successful outcome to be for parents and families to be educated, trust their intuition, and be able to advocate for their individual and family needs.

Laura lives in Rockbridge County with her husband and son. Together, they enjoy board games, long drives, nature, and crafting, whether it is with food, art, baking, or plants.
