Aufia Zhowandai

Aufia Zhowandai, DDS, is a pediatric dentist dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized dental care to children and young adults ages 21 and under.

Dr. Zhowandai earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry, from Virginia Commonwealth University. She continued her education at VCU School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at NYU Langone Health in Tampa, Florida, where she received advanced training in providing comprehensive dental care to children and patients with special needs.

Dr. Zhowandai chose pediatric dentistry because of her lifelong passion for working with children. She believes every visit is an opportunity to build trust, create a positive experience, and help children develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. Seeing a patient leave the office with a smile is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Dr. Zhowandai is proud to bring her training and passion for pediatric dentistry back to Virginia. Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring nature and the outdoors, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
