On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, RAHC Immunization Coordinator Jessica Ferguson, and VPAS Executive Director, Jeri Schaff joined Laurie in the Morning on 3WZ FM to discuss the upcoming Boosters & Bingo event taking place October 5, 2022 at Maury River Senior Services in Downtown Buena Vista.

To make the vaccination experience a little more fun, Rockbridge Area Health Center and VPAS Maury River Senior Services in Buena Vista are teaming up for a special event, “Boosters and BINGO” on Wednesday, October 5 at Maury River Senior Services, 2137 Magnolia Avenue, Buena Vista. Both flu vaccines and COVID vaccines and bivalent boosters will be available between 1 pm and 5 pm. During the same hours, a BINGO session will begin every half hour. Due to limited space, BINGO players will be limited to one session only. There will be no cash prizes, but special prizes will be awarded to winners.
It is not required to receive a vaccine or booster to play BINGO, nor is it necessary to play BINGO to receive a vaccine or booster. Those wishing to receive COVID boosters should bring their CDC-issued vaccination card.
