Kimary Schatten, CNM, MPH is a Certified Nurse-Midwife specializing in women’s health care in all stages of women’s lives. She provides well-women or problem visits, family planning services, and prenatal care in partnership with Augusta Health and the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Queens College, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing with a Midwifery Specialty from Oregon Health and Science University, and a Master in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
While spending two years in the Peace Corp in Senegal, West Africa, Kimary was exposed to the staggering high rates of infant and maternal mortality. This experience was the catalyst for inspiring her to pursue working in public health care.

Outside of RAHC, Kimary enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, a Washington and Lee University professor, and their two children. Together as a family they enjoy swimming, hiking, camping, picnicking and being anywhere in the outdoors.
